This tilt sensors allows us to measure the tilt of the joystick. The nickel moves left and right when the joystick is tilted left and right. To detect which side it is on a optical sensor is placed in the left and right holes. to tilt forward and back a second sensor is used.

The part has a wedge at 10 degrees so the nickel is stable in the middle.
